About the TESOL Program

The Kelly Colleges’ Certificate IV in TESOL is a government accredited course designed for those who wish to become teachers of English to speakers of other languages. Many classes are recorded so students can watch themselves practising their new teaching skills on video to get a better idea of their strengths and weaknesses. Graduates of this course will be able to use their qualification to seek work in TESOL throughout the world.

Practical Teaching: 6 Hours
Observation: 14 Hours

TKT Option

The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) is a test from Cambridge ESOL which aims to increase teachers’ confidence and enhance job prospects. Students who wish to prepare for the TKT examination are required to undertake one extra week of intensive study. This week involves longer hours of study with several assessments and take-home assigments.

Mode of Study / Assessment Method

All classes are conducted face-to-face. Students are assessed through observation of teaching practicum and completion of workboo tasks.

Employment

Kelly Colleges can assist you in finding employment as a teacher in your home country by providing the following upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in TESOL with a grade of "Credit" or above.

  • A digital recorded copy of you teaching will be given to you at the end of the program.
    You can use this to show prospective employers what a great teacher you have become.
  • You will be given assistance to make a resume to apply for teaching positions back home.
  • You will receive a letter of support from Kelly Colleges to use when searching for a job
