Counselling
Kelly Colleges aims to provide all students with positive experiences leading to successful outcomes. We understand that settling into a new environment can sometimes be challenging. The counsellors at Kelly Colleges come from many different countries and can therefore understand the issues that some international students may face when they arrive in Australia. We have counsellors who can speak Korean, Japanese, Thai, Spanish, French, Mandarin and Cantonese. Our Student Services Manager is a full time staff member at the college and is available to assist students in the following areas:
- cross-cultural issues and communication techniques
- academic difficulties
- cultural adjustment, loneliness, difficulty making friends
- stress and time management
- developing study skills
- defining career goals and understanding study options in Australia and abroad.
- providing information about community/government services, social clubs, visas
- assisting students to find employment.
